At the meeting, YE Zi, Secretary-General of the Foundation, presented a detailed report on the Foundation’s activities and achievements in 2024 on behalf of the Secretariat.
In 2024, under the guidance of the Council, the Beijing Jingyan Foundation remained steadfast in its efforts, enhancing operational standards, mitigating potential risks, and improving project management through systematic, scientific, and standardized approaches. This comprehensive approach led to breakthroughs in the number of beneficiaries, funding support, assistance models, policy advocacy, and overall industry influence. The Foundation also began to make its voice heard in the international philanthropy arena, marking its first steps toward global engagement.
During the meeting, Council members exchanged views on the Foundation’s achievements in 2024 and engaged in lively discussions on key initiatives for 2025. They expressed their commitment to actively leveraging the roles of Council members and Supervisors, connecting social resources, and providing stronger support for the Foundation. The meeting also served as a platform to gather extensive feedback and suggestions on the Foundation’s future development.
Following the meeting agenda, the attending Council members reviewed and approved the Beijing Jingyan Foundation 2024 Annual Achievements and 2025 Work Plan, as well as the 2025 Annual Budget presented by the Secretariat.

Looking ahead, the Beijing Jingyan Foundation will increase its investment in the field of thalassemia, continue to strengthen key projects such as the Building Love for Thalassemia Action project, and further improve project execution efficiency and quality. The Foundation will expand thalassemia awareness campaigns, promote public understanding of reproductive health, support related academic research and international experience studies, and steadily advance the pilot Zero Thalassemia Plan, establishing a collaborative mechanism to accelerate its implementation.

Through these efforts, the Foundation aims to broaden its impact, provide more comprehensive and sustainable support to those in need, contribute to strengthening China’s pediatric disease prevention system, and mobilize Jingyan’s resources and expertise to help achieve Zero Thalassemia as soon as possible.
